The British Guild of Agricultural Journalists is a membership organisation representing editors and journalists, broadcasters, photographers, public relations and marketing specialists working in agriculture, commercial horticulture and other rural industries in the United Kingdom.
The project involved redesigning the website and transferring the Content Management System from Drupal to WordPress, in order to make the membership website easier to manage and more user-friendly.
The site features a searchable database of members and an online application form for new members. The joining process is more streamlined with auto-generated emails acknowledging membership application and approved applications. The membership fee is paid via an online Direct Debit instruction.
Feedback from the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists:
“From the initial meeting with Design Works we had great confidence in the team to deliver what we needed. The initial designs were quick to come and impressed us all. Few changes were needed before we were quickly discussing the layout of the site and its content. The migration of content was handled with relatively few queries from Rory and the team. Jonathan dealt with us very well throughout, explaining what he was doing and how it would make the new site easier for us to use, and easier to navigate for web users. Altogether the experience was friendly, professional and we got exactly what we asked for, for the amount we were quoted. Thank you Rory, Jonathan and the team, great job.”
