Cycle Challenge
-
July 10
An incredible 33,884 miles were cycled in the
South Lakes Cycle Challenge. Team Designworks
and
Body Rehab
contributed 1,003 miles to the grand total. If we had driven 33,884 miles at
37mpg we would have used 900 gallons or 20 bathtubs full of petrol. This would
give off about 10 tons or an Olympic sized swimming pool full of CO2.

Friends of
the Lake District Annual Review
-
May 10
The Friends of the Lake District
Annual Review is featured in the Third Sector magazine and website. The
article looks at good Annual Reviews and how charities use them to showcase
their work. When we redesigned the Annual Review
we wanted to create something fresh and interesting and it's nice to see that it
has worked.
Fred Whitton Challenge completed
-
May 10
We all made it round the mountainous, 112 mile cycling event that is the
Fred Whitton
Challenge.
It was the best year for support with crowds at the top of all the passes
ringing cow bells and playing bagpipes - it felt like le Tour. Donations
are still being received at
justgiving.com.
The team wax at Kendal College

Fred Whitton Challenge
-
April 10
May 9th 2010 is the
Fred Whitton
Challenge - a 112 cycle ride over all the Lake District passes. This
year Rory will be riding with the Lake District National Park team and we are
looking for sponsorship. If the agony of cycling up 33% gradients isn't enough
then the pain of having our legs waxed before the big ride will surely encourage
you to donate. Please make a donation to these worthwhile causes at
justgiving.com
and help us break through the pain barrier.
Biketrain -

Friday of each month. For more information email
